The correct logo file
A logo taken from a screenshot may display a black box or blurry edges against different backgrounds. If possible, share the original vector file, a version with a transparent background, and variations for light and dark backgrounds. The logo's aspect ratio must be preserved; it should not be squashed horizontally or vertically to fit a specific area. A separate, simplified icon may be required for small-scale use.
Consistent visual language
Colors, fonts, and photographic style should convey the same brand identity. The exact same layout does not need to be repeated on every page; shared principles suffice. Readability of headings, comfort of body text, and distinctiveness of buttons take precedence over decorative choices. Keep records of usage permissions for stock imagery.
If materials are missing
If the logo, text, or photos are not ready, state this at the proposal stage. Logo design and full corporate identity development are not the same scope of work. Additional deliverables—such as business cards, social media templates, or presentations—must be defined separately. If placeholder images are used, they should not create the impression that they represent the actual office or a real client project.
Your quick checklist
- Share the original logo file.
- Separate the light and dark background versions.
- Define the scope of additional brand deliverables.
